I am a textile designer maker / illustrator, graduating in 2007 with a 1st BA (Hons) degree in Surface and Textile Design.

The items I create blur the boundaries between textile design and illustration, each telling its own little story. Having always been fascinated by animals and their characters, they appear in my imagery repeatedly. I aim to design items that emanate happiness, fun and humour.

As well as my favourite muse, animals, I am also inspired by lots of other things too, ranging from anything as simple as a perfect little flower to a bustling urban street. Fairytales, childhood memories, humour and imagination also feed my creative work, as does colour and pattern which continually inspire me.

I am a big kid at heart and admire anything a little off-beat or magical. I love to flick through 1970's craftbooks.. there's something about those graphics...Retro fabrics, Scandinavian textile design and Japanese craft and design also rev me up!.
